Dick & Jane's Spot Ellensburg, Wa.
Started in 1980, Dick & Jane's Spot in Ellensburg is truly unique.  Over 27 years of hard work, play and the collection of the works of over 40 different artists has lead to a sight that is fun for the whole family.
"The Spot" is located only one block off of main street and across the street from the police station and fire department at 101 North Pearl Street, Ellensburg.  An outdoor display, the whole yard and house is covered with fun, playful art of different styles and forms.  These range from "bottle cap art" to Dick's "reflector art" to unique paintings, sculptures and more.  Park right at the front curb, sign the guest book and spend all of the time you wish.  This is all free, courtesy of Dick (Richard) C. Elliot and Jane Orleman.  This is a good example of creative people providing something for the rest of  us to enjoy.
Dick specializes in reflector art and Jane does painting.  Both are graduates of Central Washington University.  Please check out their website www.reflectorart.com for more information, their profiles and great photos of their art.
In 2007 Dick Elliot was dignosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away on November 19, 2008.  Mr. John Bennett has great information and photos on his website Hcolom Press
