Traveling in the Northwest in the summer months one of the premier events to catch is the Vintiques Northwest Nationals car show. An event that has graced Yakima for this being the 40th year, is held the first weekend of August at State Fair Park in Yakima with the public welcome on Friday and Saturday.
This is your chance to see all kinds of Hot Rods from the daily drivers to the ultimate show cars with more features and trick items than you can ever imagine. This years show expects to draw somewhere around 800 to 900 cars. Eligible entries this year must pre-date 1973. Spectators attending the event in the past have numbered about 4,000 to 5,000.
Two nights of entertainment, car games, kids games and a great Poker Run that winds through the orchards and vineyards are highlights of the show in addition to wandering the shaded Fairgrounds inspecting some of the finest rods on the West Coast. Car related vendors offer their wide variety of products in the adjacent air-conditioned Sundome. Camping and RV spots are available for those wanting to take full advantage of the show and the great Yakima summer weather.
